Looking for new writing recruits

Well, so it’s been a slow news week for the gang at AJAS. That said, we’re still busy beavers fighting the good fight. Here’s the breakdown of the last few days:

Thing 1–
I started a little bit of a twitter experiment with an AJAS account ( &joinedagainst) . . . I tweet fairly frequently on a personal account ( &3vil3mpir3), but have never really used it for things other than that. My goal is to try to push articles on this site out to a larger audience; week 1 of the experiment has come to a close with a few new friends and some interesting observations. Thanks to &isaaaa, I came up with an interesting idea: After checking out the site, &isaaaa pointed out that there weren’t any girls represented. By gar, she’s right! While it’s always been my intention to have some guest writers on AJAS, I never really considered how far and wide I can do this. With that said…

The idea–
This is an open call to everyone who is athletic in any way . . . I’d love to share your story. See my goofy mug on the left? I’d really like to swap that out with pictures of cool people I’ve met over the last year who are athletic. If you’re interested in being profiled on AJAS, hit me up (clicky the twitter link or email me at brian.warner &joinedagainst.org).
My main man Kenny from across the pond is working on some stuff and will be regular contributor on this site. Ken was diagnosed with AS recently (and get this . . .he also plays paintball). Small world, no?

I’m also thinking very seriously about giving out author accounts on this site to let folks I meet post their own stories. What do you think? I’m starting to get some guest writers working on some cool stuffs to read, how they got diagnosed with AS, how they overcome the obstacles, etc. I’ll post up when those are about to go live.

Thing 2—
I’m working on the site itself still and migrating hidden content from the old site + content I was working on before I started writing this site. I have tons and tons of pictures from some of our booth trips. Stay tuned for fun and excitement!
